Purposes of processing: The data provided will be processed by authorised provincial employees, including electronically, for the purpose of providing the requested newsletter service. For this reason, the data will only be stored for as long as the newsletter service is active.

The legal basis for this data processing lies in the institutional tasks of the Europe Department, in accordance with EU Regulation 2021/1060 of 24 June 2021 (Articles 46–50) and the Decree of the Provincial Governor of 21 August 2023, No. 261. Data subjects may request termination of the newsletter service at any time via the link in the newsletter.

The person responsible for processing is the Director of the Europe Department at her registered office.

To determine the extent to which the offer is of interest to users and how it can be improved, general, non-personal and statistical data is recorded. To this end, data and information from server log files are summarised and used for statistics and analyses.

Recipients of communication and data: Data may be shared with legal entities that provide IT system maintenance and administration services for the provincial administration and/or institutional website, including via cloud computing. Microsoft Italia S.r.l., the provider of the Office 365 suite, has undertaken, in accordance with the existing contract, not to transfer personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area (EEA) countries (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) without the appropriate safeguards set out in Section V of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679. These legal entities act either as external processors or as independent controllers.

Data transfers: No additional transfers of personal data to third countries take place.

Distribution: If the distribution of data is essential to comply with publication obligations under the applicable legal system, the guarantees for the protection of personal data remain unaffected.

Duration: The data will be stored until the user unsubscribes from the newsletter service. Unsubscribe via the link in the newsletter.

Automated decision-making: The processing of the data is not based on automated decision-making.

Rights of the data subject: In accordance with the applicable provisions, the data subject may access the data concerning them at any time upon request and has the right to correct or complete any inaccurate or incomplete data. If the legal requirements are met, they may object to the processing or request the deletion or restriction of the data. In the latter case, personal data subject to processing restrictions may only be processed for storage purposes, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims by the controller, or for the protection of the rights of third parties, or for reasons of important public interest, with the consent of the data subject.

Legal remedies: If the data subject does not receive a response to their request within 30 days of submission – this period may be extended by a further 60 days if necessary, due to the complexity or volume of requests – they may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority or take legal action.
